London – Under the profit sharing plan introduced in 2022, an additional $18.3 million prize money will be paid to players by the ATP Men’s Tennis Tour, based on performances in nine Masters 1000 tournaments last year.

The ATP said Thursday that the amount will increase from the $6.6 million profit sharing bonus from the 2023 Masters event.

According to ATP, the addition of profit sharing has led to an overall compensation for ATP players rising to a record $261 million in 2024.

Expanded Masters Tour Stops – Men and women played in the same event, attracting criticism from players for being too long with bigger draws and longer tournament schedules.

All of these backgrounds are demands from some athletes to do more money and more in sports.

The Professional Tennis Players’ Association, a group co-founded by Novak Jjokovic, called it a “cartel” to ATP, WTA Women’s Tour, International Tennis Federation and International Tennis Integrity Agency in March.
