Everton is in a busy final month of his transfer, hoping to achieve more success in the Premier League than he has preseason. Despite a strong league finish last season, David Moe’s team did not win in friendly matches and in the Premier League summer series.

The latest arrival is British winger Jack Glaeshe, who joined Toffee on loan during the season. If Grealish can revitalize his Merseyside career, Everton has the option to make his signature permanent for £50 million next summer.

Behind the contract, Everton is deeply tied to signing Omali Hutchinson of Ipswich. Hutchinson is known to be featured in attacks in the midfield and wings, both areas that Everton needs to strengthen, and is not significantly present from Ipswich’s recent fixtures.

However, another player may pass through the door before Hutchinson, as the Friedkin Group reportedly bids to sign Everton’s new striker.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Everton has submitted a bid for Ukrainian forward Artem Dovic from Rome, owned by TFG. The bid is reported to be worth £37 million, with players undergoing a transition to the Premier League.

However, Everton is not the only club that is interested in Dovbyk. The report lists Leeds United, West Ham and Sunderland as stakeholders, but they have not yet bid. Early in the window, Dovbyk was linked to Arsenal, but the London side ultimately chose Viktor Gyoker.

Dovbyk was first awarded an international award after the incredible 2023/24 campaign where he saw him lead Girona to European qualifications. During that season, Dovbyk registered 34 goals in 39 appearances and was greeted by Roma the following January.

Ukraine number 11 currently earns £41,000 a week in Rome, and may be expected to have a salary increase to leave Rome. The wage demand is worth meeting, given that he is described as a “strong target man” and compared to Dusan Vlahovich and Santiago Guimenez.

Dovbyk and Beto reliability

Once Everton completes Dovbyk’s contract, two trusted strikers are in hand.

Dovbyk has a slightly better game-to-game target ratio than Everton’s current main striker BETO. However, both have reasonable rates close to or better than all other games.

The difference between the XGs of both strikers also shows reliability. Beto is slightly below his xg, while Dovbyk performs slightly over-performance. What this means is that both players take their chances when offered to them. They won’t win many unexpected worlds, but if Everton can offer them a chance, they will transform them.

New striker Tillino Barry is an unknown amount. His numbers don’t match those of Beto and Dovbyk, but he’s young and has plenty of time to improve. With two experienced strikers ahead of him, Barry is under less pressure to succeed immediately. When he’s struggling, the team will still have two reliable strikers.
