Liverpool started their Premier League title defense with a victory, beating Bournemouth 4-2 on an emotional night at Anfield.

Many experts and fans alike predict that the Arne Slot side will retain the crown, but if you do so, you will need to improve your performance. Liverpool competed for a two-goal lead courtesy of either side of Hugo Echicicke and Cody Gakupo’s halftime side, but Bournemouth winger Antoine Semeño placed them on the sword with a glorious brace. Fortunately, for the Merseyside club, they were bailed out by a slow strike from the alternative Federico Chiesa and a stop-time sealer from Mohamed Sarah.

Slot is not satisfied with the displays he has produced, especially in defense. They were so easy that they couldn’t get better with a counterattack. It was amplified by Semeño’s goal.

Liverpool’s evaluation of Bournemouth

Allison – The Liverpool goalkeeper may be able to do little about Cemenyo’s orthotics and he is not satisfied with how he is not protected by his defender. 6/10.

Jeremy Frimon – His first match in British football, and it was average. He will continue to be good in the future, but he is often kicked out of his natural right-back position, which spells out trouble. 5/10.

Ibrahima Conate – He played like a man thinking about life away from Liverpool. It’s not enough for defense. 5/10.

Virgil Van Dijk- Sometimes it felt like Van Dik was a defense of one person and he would not have been satisfied. 6/10.

Milos is here – Like Frimon, he was often caught when Bournemouth broke quickly. 5/10.

Alexis Mac Allister – He provided Ekitike’s goal assistance, but in general, he was not at his best. 6/10.

Dominik Szoboszlai- He played a deeper role in dealing with Florian Wiltz, but he struggled to reach his potential as well. 6/10.

Florian Wirtz – Excuse me to awaken to British football due to Wirtz, which had little effect on his competitive debut at Anfield. 5/10.

Mohamed Salah – Another thing that wasn’t the best. Sarah did little to trouble Bournemouth’s defense. It would have been very frustrating for him and his manager. He took fourth in Liverpool’s downtime. 6/10.

CodyGA – – If Alexander Isaac arrives, Gakupo’s location in the lineup will be threatened, but if he continues to perform like this, it will be difficult to drop him. He won Liverpool’s second. 8/10

Hugo Ekitike- A great performance and assist from Ekitique, who was a lively performer of Liverpool. Who is Isaac? 9/10.

submarine:

Andy Robertson – It was brought in to defend Liverpool more solidly, but Bournemouth scored twice in minutes after being replaced by slots. 5/10.

Wataru Endo – When he moved there he looked more comfortable in his natural midfield position, but decided to take him with the right back. 5/10.

Joe Gomez – A solid performance from Gomez, who returned to Japan. 6/10.

Curtis Jones – He helped Liverpool struggle with back control after Semenyo’s goal. 6/10.

Federico Chiesa – Liverpool hero. Scoring late to give them a lead, a few minutes are coming. 7/10.
