Man United will need to sell to balance the books they spent in the £200 million region during the summer transfer period. Some of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony are in the chopping block, but players who don’t leave Old Trafford have also been identified.
Man United is not planning to sign a new defender this summer. Therefore, it is unlikely that current players in this area will depart. And this is especially true of Harry Maguire.
Man United declines multiple Harry Maguire offers
According to a soccer insider, Mick Brown has confirmed that Maguire will not leave Man United this summer.
“Man United is not going to let Maguire leave. Several clubs have been interested and contacted to see if he is available, but those talks are not permitted to be developed.
“He has consistently played with all sorts of pressures, speculations and problems around him, and he has overcome it and proved himself.
“He’s a dressing room leader and an experienced head for younger players, but he’s also one of their better centre-backs with each and every time he plays. He’s an integral part of what Amorim is trying to do and there’s no plan to let him go.
Maguire was in turmoil for the first few years at Man United, but he was called after the Europa League final last season, but he has begun to become a key figure these days. And it is expected that this will remain the case.
