Jack Draper and Jessica Pegra cruised in a straight set victory with Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu.

Men’s UK No. 1 draper and American partner Pegra overcome the men’s world No. 2 Alcaraz and top-ranked British woman Radukanu 4-2, 4-2 in 51 minutes to reach the quarter-finals.

Radkanu lost her serve in the opening game, but there were no further breakpoints on the first set, but that was enough for Draper and Pegra to clinch it.

Alcaraz and Raducanu opened a 1-0 lead in the second set, but once again fell 2-1, with Draper showing his accuracy and strength to move forward with his serve 3-1.

Raducanu saved three breakpoints to reduce the deficit to 3-2, but Draper sealed the victory at the third match point of the next game, putting a stunning forehand into the line.

Draper and Pegula returned to book their place in the semi-finals, slamming the conquerors – 4-1, 4-1 of Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva (Novak Jjokovic and Olga Danilovic).

The pair will face Iga Swaitek and Kasper Rood in the semi-finals on Wednesday, and will be played on the same day in the final.

The mixed doubles were in the spotlight at Flushing Meadows after being scheduled to begin the schedule before the main tournament.
