Following a five-star exhibit against London’s rival West Ham United, Chelsea reportedly plans a late-smash hit to sign a Premier League rival worth £80 million.
Maresca: “Fantastic” Esthebao has so much to learn
When Enzo Maresca decided to throw Estevao Willian straight against West Ham United following Cole Palmer’s injury in the warm-up, many didn’t know what to expect. The malicious flick of the Brazilian timing led to a spectacular strike by Lucas Paketa, handing the shocking lead to Hammer, prompting concerns that he had been drowned under pressure at London Stadium, but quickly found a groove.
Bruce responded quickly to West Ham’s unexpected goals and found himself levelled up before the striker first led Pedroneto providers and handed over the lead courtesy of Joao Pedro.
From there, except for Niclas Fullkrug’s allowed goal, Chelsea did not look back, and Estevao quickly showed his style with the assist of Enzo Fernandes. Moises Caiceceo and Trevoh Chalobah then rounded out their fantastic displays, with Estebao receiving high praise from Maresca.
The Italian told reporters, admitting that there is much to learn for teenagers: “He needs to adapt. He needs to make a lot of mistakes to understand how the Premier League is different in Brazil. We admitted after he flicked, he needs to understand, but he’s a great player.”
But even after the positive display of Estevao, there are still concerns about Palmer’s injury and replacing his quality if he misses the long term.
However, these are concerns that could lead to a final blockbuster move from the Blues, and could lead to the arrival of players Palmer already familiar with.
Chelsea currently plans a £80 million Rogers move
According to Givemesport, Chelsea is currently planning a slow move to sign Hand Enzo Maresca to the target Morgan Rodgers has been hoping for all summer from Aston Villa. Blueco has been looking at England International for the past few months, reportedly weighing out attractive bids to secure their target.
If the people at Stamford Bridge are trying to make one final statement of intent, it is certainly one way to do that for the PFA Young Player of the Year last season to arrive at a move worth £800,000. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen how viable the movement will be within 10 days left until the windows close.
Last season, former Aston Villa Mann Stilyan Petrov was described as “fantastic,” but the outlook for Rogers and Palmer’s partnership at Stamford Bridge should be enough to excite Chelsea fans. The two English stars have known each other well since their days at the academy in Manchester City, and both complete the attack on Maresca.
