  • Following Arsenal’s hijacking, an alternative that keeps an eye on Tottenham
  • El Cannas may be a “sensational” signature for the Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy reports that he personally makes the “sensational” attack midfielder move that could be brought in as an alternative to Ebeki Eze.

Following Arsenal’s hijacking, an alternative that keeps an eye on Tottenham

The big hit was that Tottenham missed Eze and the 27-year-old chose to join his bitter rival Arsenal instead, making sure Mikel Arteta always wanted to move to Emirates Stadium.

When asked about rumors that Eze had called him directly, Arteta said: “It shows you how much he wants to come. They have to make decisions in their careers, so it’s very different from time to time because you want to be very open and transparent with the players, but I’m happy to have him. You can see how much it means to him and his whole family.”

Swallowing for Spurs is a bitter drug, but with just over a week of just over a week, they need to move quickly to alternative targets and not lack potential options in the list of candidates.

There is now a new update on Tottenham’s pursuit of El Cannaus, and reports from African feet (via sports witnesses) reveal that Levi personally moved for the midfielder in the attack, targeted by Crystal Palace.

Morocco has been targeted as an alternative to Eze, and the palace is about to sign him as an alternative to England International, with the Eagles already reaching an agreement with the 21-year-old boy.

The deal will not break Spurs’ banks as Oliver Glasner’s side remains in debate over transactions that are expected to reach around 35 million euros (£30 million).

El Cannas may be a “sensational” signature for the Spurs

Lauded as “sensational” by scout Ben Matinson, the Leicester attacker has gotten a great start to the new season, earning two assists in two championship games, with former manager Rood van Nastelroy believes he is destined to play at the top level.

Van Nistellouis said: “I think you’re going to see a lot of him in his age and profile. His potential is that he has top players in the Champions League. He can come a long way.”

That said, signing a Belgian-born midfielder would be a gamble. Given that he has not yet established himself at the highest level, he has accumulated five contributions in the Premier League last season.

So, while it may be a wise idea for Tottenham to introduce a ready-made Eze alternative alongside El Cannas, he clearly could have long-term success in North London.
