118-goal striker pushing to join Newcastle next week

Newcastle is headed towards the end of a very busy summer transfer period as he aims to resolve the striker situation. Alexander Isaac was able to join Liverpool, but that only happens when two new signatures arrive.

It is no secret that Newcastle is interested in Joane Wissa, who is working so hard to leave Brentford. The 28-year-old has made it clear that he wants to join the club’s boss on Eddiehau’s side despite a clear gap between the ratings of the two Premier League teams.

Nonetheless, there remains confidence that Wissa can reach an agreement that she can join Newcastle.

And according to Craig Hope (via the NUFC blog), it could happen next week. Dr. Congo International, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, hopes to find an agreement with Brentford, so he believes he will be able to join Newcastle in the coming days.

It is believed that Newcastle will sign Wissa to replace Callum Wilson, who left Newcastle early in the summer at the expiration of his contract. His arrival is not expected to affect whether ISAK will join Liverpool if it happens, as the boss of St. James Park will need another new face before opening the door to Premier League champions.

It will be interesting to see if Wissa will move to Newcastle before the summer transfer period closes. Generally, we have confidence surrounding the issue, but there is a £20 million gap in ratings between the two clubs. If not closed, it means the striker will remain in Brentford.
