Tottenham Hotspur hopes to sign Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa this summer.
The 23-year-old is one of the best young talents in the Premier League, and Tottenham is frequently associated with him. According to soccer insiders, Aston Villa doesn’t want to sell players, but it could be under pressure due to PSR issues.
Several top clubs maintain Rogers’ tabs.
Tottenham witnesses a bargain for Morgan Rogers
Tottenham is currently trying to agree to a midfielder cut price deal and wants to capitalize on Aston Villa’s financial issues. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.
They need more quality and cutting edge in the last third, and the 23-year-old certainly helps them improve. He registered 30 goal contributions last season, making it a great acquisition for Tottenham.
Tottenham needs more quality in the final third as James Madison and Dejan Crucevsky were sidelined with injuries. They need someone who can consistently score goals and create opportunities for his teammates. Rogers certainly fits his profile. He is also very young and only improves with coaching and experience. He was able to grow into a future star for the club.
Rogers is an elite talent
The 23-year-old was recently named PFA Young Player of the Year. There is no doubt that he is an elite outlook, and the Spurs will do well to secure his signature. Losing a valuable young outlook like Rogers would be a major blow to Aston Villa.
The West Midlands Club is trying to bring together teams that can compete regularly in the Champions League and compete for the trophy. Losing their best young players certainly has a negative effect on them. It is still unclear whether Spurs will be able to complete the transaction.
