Chelsea is currently taking an approach to signing “strong” striker as a replacement for Nicholas Jackson.

Jackson Saga gives a twist and Bruce approaches a new striker

All signs were set to complete Jackson’s loan move to Champions Bayern Munich in the Vandesliga, but given Liam Dellup’s recent injury, Bruce cancelled the deal before the Stargeller forward could complete medical care.

Enzo Maresca confirmed that due to hamstring issues, Delap could be set up on a relatively long spell on his side. “It doesn’t work, but this type of case, this type of injury, it can always be six or eight weeks.”

Naturally, Jackson is unhappy with the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and there are recent reports suggesting that the 24-year-old has refused to return to London from Munich.

So, in a new update, David Ornstein revealed that Chelsea is willing to sanction permanent departures before the transfer window closes, and began implementing the rules on potential alternatives.

Given the lack of loan options, permanent transactions are being considered and Ornstein reveals the blues, so Sporting CP Striker Conrad is now signing and investigating more vigorously.

“Chelsea are considering signing a striker before the deadline. The CFC has not allowed Nicholas Jackson’s loans, but it acknowledges the permanent possibility. The lack of loan exchange means permanents will be explored – an inquiry that the investigation for Conrad was made for sports such as CP.”

Harder has attracted widespread interest from across Europe, with RB Leipzig and AC Milan recently appointed potential suitors, and the Italian club reportedly agreeing to a deal worth 23 million euros (£23 million) earlier this week.

However, given that Chelsea will only sanction permanent exits at this stage, it appears that the move on conditional pulling Jackson away from the book is being followed.

The hardest part is the dangerous signature for Chelsea.

The 20-year-old has not proven himself in major European leagues after chipping with solid, if not epic, number of goals during the 2024-25 campaign before beginning his career at Nordgerland.

So, the youth could be a dangerous addition to Maresca’s team, and as the manager has already drawn the book as a budding young striker, there may be some issues surrounding the lack of game time for one forward in the second half of this season.

That’s not to say the sports starlet isn’t an exciting young striker, but to say that scout Jacek Kulig praises him for his “powerful finish,” and that Dane is a “anti-aggressive threat” with a very good work rate.

But perhaps it would make more sense to hold onto a more established Jackson until the January transfer period.
