Land’s Winning was Siastair’s third WTA single title and its first WTA single title since 2021. Cîrstea was the best riser in the WTA rankings, bringing 41 spots to 71st place.

“We are communicating closely with our valued guests regarding the missing items reported,” Simon Chapman, the hotel’s general manager, said in a statement. “The retired NYPD detective, the Director of Safety and Security, personally oversees the investigation. We handle the issues to the fullest extent and continue to work directly with Ms. Cirstea.”

The second round exit for Sheerstea from the US Open Singles marked her best finish in the Grand Slam since the 2023 US Open since the 2023 US Open, and since she reached the quarterfinals.
