Chelsea have had a very busy deadline day so far, and they now have an agreement that another player will leave the club.
One of the most interesting transfer sagas of the past few weeks is centered around Nicholas Jackson. Chelsea had agreed to a loan agreement with the 24-year-old purchase option to join Bayern Munich, but the arrangement was cancelled Saturday after Liam Dellup went down with a hamstring injury expected to keep him out for two months.
Jackson then returned to Chelsea, but in the past 24 hours a new talk with Bayern has returned. And the new agreement was sorted.
Bayern Munich agrees to the New Deal to sign Nicholas Jackson
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Bayern agreed to Jackson’s new deal. This includes the obligation of the Bundesliga giants to sign Senegal International if certain conditions are met. In addition to this, a higher loan fee has been agreed – from 15 million euros to 16.5 million euros.
The situation with Jackson in the last 72 hours has been quite something, but it will be happy to end – as Chelsea will be happy, but the new terminology is more advantageous for them. Bayern is still happy. Because they are currently in a solid competition for Harry Kane in striker positions.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea chose to recall GUIU and sign another striker to compete with Joan Pedro. It could depend on whether Delap has a belief that he could return from his hamstring injury earlier than expected, but for now there is no indication that this is true.
