The Wolves face busy 36 hours of the summer transfer period, with both signing and sales expected at Molineux. And within that, a new midfielder may be set up to arrive.
It was a rather quiet summer in terms of wolves’ signatures. The wolves had the money to spend after Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri sold them to Man United and Man City, respectively. But their next addition is in the free transfer.
Wolves seeking an agreement with Josh Brownhill
According to Sky Sports News (via Givemesport), the wolves are negotiating contracts with Josh Brown Hill. Josh Brown Hill remains a free agent after leaving Burnley in the beginning of July when the deal in Turf Moor expired.
Chased by West Ham at the beginning of the summer, Brown Hill is also attracting strong interest from Al Shabaab, a pro league member in the Saudi Arabians who is willing to pay him more than £10,000 a week. But playing in the Premier League with wolves is more appealing to a 29-year-old woman, especially when offered a similar salary.
Brown Hill was one of the outstanding performers in last season’s championship, scoring 18 goals and six assists in Burnley’s 42 appearances. He looks ready to return to the Premier League. From a wolf perspective, there will be fierce competition for Andre, Joanne Gomez and Marshall Munetti.
For now, it remains to be seen whether the contract offer has been proposed by the wolves. Brown Hill won’t make a hurry to make a decision considering he can sign a new club after the summer transfer window closed on Monday, but he hopes to get back to things two months as a free agent.
