Questions when Iga Swiatek requires a break to objects, reporters do

New York – Iga Swiatek doesn’t need a break, but he asked the reporter if he did.

Swiatek opposed the reporter’s meaning of her need for a mental break on Wednesday, leading to an exchange near the end of the press conference after being eliminated by Amanda Anisimova in the US Open Quarter Final.

Swiatek played a lot of tennis this summer. She won the Wimbledon title – she defeated Anishimoba 6-0, 6-0 in the finals – also won the title at Cincinnati just before the US Open.

But when asked if she was tired, Sweet said: “Well, I don’t know. That’s not that my match was tired here.”

The reporter then made it clear that he meant a mental break.

“It looks like you need a mental break,” Swiatek said.

When the reporter jokingly said, Swiatek said, “So what are you doing here?”

He replied that he would need to do it until the end of Sunday’s tournament.

“Good luck,” Sweet said.
