  • Chelsea failed to offload disaster on deadline day
  • Crystal Palace and West Ham want disaster

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi was expected to leave the Blues this summer, but his slow move as Monaco failed due to the club’s lone quota.

The French defender, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2023, is currently dressed at the edge of Enzo Maresca’s plans, and is widely expected to move on in the coming months.

His exit from the club during the January transfer period is currently inevitable. Sources close to the agent industry notified Catch off side.

The 27-year-old appeared to have returned quickly as Monaco over the summer, but reportedly a verbal agreement was settled between the two clubs.

However, FIFA’s regulations on international loans have caused the transaction to collapse. Chelsea had already filled in their final allocation slots when striker Nicholas Jackson made a temporary switch to Bayern Munich.

Disasi is completely frozen from the first team photo. Maresca omitted him from Chelsea’s Premier League team list at the beginning of the season, effectively placing him on what is commonly referred to as the “bomb squad.”

The French spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, but despite winning valuable minutes in the Premier League, he returned to Stamford Bridge with little chance of returning to the Blues’ central defensive rotation.

Chelsea is open to his departure, but the summer windows have no solid offers. That situation could change in January, with three potential destinations emerging.

Crystal Palace is closely monitoring development, particularly as Mark Guech is bordered towards the big bucks move to Liverpool. The Eagles view Disasi as a ready-made alternative to the loan.

West Ham United is also recognized as interested, but despite Graham Potter’s praise, it has been reported that the players themselves are not convinced of the move to East London.
Chelsea’s demands, full compensation for his salary, and a £5 million financing could also complicate the matter.

The third and perhaps most realistic street is outside of Europe. Saudi Arab Neom FC, which recently signed Alexandre Lacazette and Masin Burka, is eager to bring disaster to its ambitious projects. Saudi Arabia’s windows are still open longer than in Europe, so this option remains firmly on the table.

The disaster will be linked to Chelsea until 2029, but his decline in role will inevitably lead to departure.

Football critic Jamie Carrager compared disasters in the past to club legend John Terry.
