Adam Ida’s Celtic journey ended on the deadline day, just 12 months after his transfer to Parkhead, when he completed his permanent move to EFL Championship Side Swansea.
Swansea agreed to transactions worth up to £7 million to sign him from Hoop, who agreed to a transaction of up to £9.5 million and a guarantee of £8.5 million.

His impressive form of Genk brought interest from Stuttgart after selling Nick Woltemaded to Newcastle United. The German side was reportedly locked up in a striker’s £24 million deal before retreating from the move due to concerns over an old ACL injury.
The transfer was not made on the deadline, but the timing could have influenced the decision to avoid the risk of injury, but it showed the value OH has in the market now – £24 million.
This means that the Korean forward is now worth more than £21.7 million than the £2.3 million that the Celt sold him to Jenk last summer. Meanwhile, Ida, whose arrival drove him out of Glasgow, has become a player of between £8.5 million and £7 million based on his transfer within the last 12 months.
