Manchester United defender Harry Maguire can offer contract extensions at the club.
The 32-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, but he is a standout for Manchester United. Manager Reuben Amorim is a huge defender worshipper and wants to follow TeamTalk to keep players in the club.
Some clubs are interested in signing experienced Manchester United stars.
Can Man United agree to a new deal with Harry Maguire?
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can secure a contract with England International, which costs £190,000 a week. Maguire has had quite a bit of criticism from his move to Manchester United, but there is no doubt that he is a key player for the club. Keeping him at Old Trafford beyond his current contract could prove to be a wise decision.
Aside from his quality as a footballer, his leadership, skills and experience can also prove to be invaluable. Apart from that, he is a model expert and can be an ideal mentor for the club’s younger players.
Man United could use Maguire
Manchester United need a deeper team with quality and experience if they want to fight for the trophy. The 32-year-old could become a very useful asset for them in the near future. It will be interesting to see what players will decide if they are provided with the extension. He enjoyed his time at Manchester United and he was an important player to them. It’s fair to assume he could be drawn to the idea of signing an extension. He has no reason to leave the club.
Manchester United have brought multiple quality signatures this summer, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to return to the UEFA Champions League this season. They want to fight for the major trophies. Maguire might want to be part of an exciting project in the future.
