  • Man United praises forest midfielder Elliot Anderson
  • Anderson can change United’s midfield

Manchester United are actively monitoring Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson.

Former United Chief Scout Mic Brown is known for his deep connections at Old Trafford during his Golden Era, but Anderson claims to embody the kind of player United need right now.

The Red Devils wanted a new midfielder this summer, but were unable to sign players in that position.

They were strongly linked to Brighton’s Carlos Valleva’s move, but the Premier League side played hardball and decided to keep the midfielder as United’s interest became more serious in the second half of the transfer window.

Man United praises forest midfielder Elliot Anderson

The Red Devils have several options in the midfield position, one of which is Anderson of the Forest.

The 22-year-old Anderson performed in-game performance against Andorra against England on September 6th, showing his talent at the top.

Brown confirmed that United are focusing on Anderson.

“Man United have seen Anderson.” He told the soccer insider.

“He did an incredible job at Nottingham Forest, and he came to the England side and turned the performances of the match.

“United sees it exactly the same type of midfielder he wants to bring in.

“He is confident in setting up the park and getting the ball, he is safe and not afraid to put in tackles, something he needs.

“Anderson certainly helped them solve a lot of the problems they had under Amorim.

“Everyone knows they want a midfielder in the summer, but they couldn’t find the right person to use at the price they wanted.”

As the midfield requires a rebuild and some targets are unachievable, Anderson has emerged as a potential bargain despite being still a respected asset for the forest.

Nottingham Forest can understand that he will lose Anderson, especially after losing another important member of the team, Anthony Elanga.

Despite his values, United sees Anderson as “ideal” to fill the gaps in Amorim’s system.
