Newcastle United are keen to complete the signature of “elite” attacking players in January, but they face competition from another Premier League club.
International bosses are in demand for Eddie Howe
Nick Ultemed has come as an exciting summer signature for the Magpie.
The striker is expected to become a key man in Newcastle along with Newcastle’s new signature, Joan Wissa, and when he spoke to the media during his international break, German manager Julian Nagelsmann asked Eddie Hau to use it regularly to help him develop.
“I’m happy when they play a lot of games and get a few minutes. That’s the most important thing for me. For the German Bundesliga, it’s not ideal for the best German players moving to the UK. But that’s it.
“Flow is already one of our most important players. Nick will also be in the future, and we hope Nick will play regularly at Newcastle.
Woltemade and Wissa have added a huge amount of quality to Newcastle’s offense, but another exciting player could be targeted in the near future, potentially adding to the competition for a few minutes.
“Elite” attackers turn their eyes to Newcastle in January
According to a new report from laroma24Newcastle is interested in signing Roman attacker Artem Dovbyk in the January window. The 28-year-old is also a hopeful for Leeds United’s teammates on the Premier League, but could be an auction signed by Target Man.
Dovbyk came in as the highest level proven player in the peak period, scoring 11 goals on the Ukrainian side and earning a nomination in the top 30 Ballon d’Or rankings last year.
Its international tally is more than Ultemed, with Wissa winning the net for Germany and Dr. Congo, and Roma Ace being praised as both Zach Roy’s “elite” and “fantastic.”
Dovbyk is primarily centre-forward, so there is a debate that he is not necessary because Woltemade and Wissa are already in Newcastle this summer, but more depth is by no means a bad thing. The former is still a young player.
The Roman striker comes straight as a top-level proven player in Magpies and aims to make his mark in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
