After Nicholas Jackson’s praise, Chelsea Academy star turns Maresca’s head

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca boasts an array of senior players of stars on his large team, but certain Cobham Academy gems are still seriously impressed with him.

Last week, Ryan Kabuma McKeeteen made all the headlines as Chelsea’s next potential riser after being seriously impressed by the under-17 in the UK.

The Young Lions appeared in the 12-goal thriller, beating Germany 7-5, with Kabuma McKeeteen scoring five points and another set-up.

Max Douman, whose noise surrounds the 15-year-old Arsenal sense – recently became the second youngest Premier League debutant after teammate Ethan Nwaneri, but there is reason to believe that Kabuma Mukkeen will be the next star in the conveyor belt of England’s Bedstarlet.

The 16-year-old has yet to be given a chance with Maresca’s senior team, but if he maintains this disgraceful form at the junior level, it may be just a matter of time.

Tyrique George is perhaps Chelsea’s biggest talent now, with the 19-year-old on the verge of joining West London rival Furham before the £22 million move finally collapsed at the summer deadline.

However, Kavuma-Mcqueen has emerged as yet another gem set up by Chelsea’s famous Cobham Academy.

That being said, the left is not the only young genius of Chelsea now turning Maresca’s head.

Enzo Maresca watches Reggie Walsh at Chelsea

According to mail and journalist Kieran Gill, Kabuma McCoon is one of three young people being closely monitored by Mareska, of which 16-year-old midfielder Reggie Walsh.

The British became one of Chelsea’s youngest players to make their senior debut in May and left the bench when they won 4-1 in the first leg of the conference league semi-finals.

Walsh appears to be on Maresca’s Chelsea Radar this season, according to Gill. He was given a path to more senior football by signing summer soccer, which set long spells on the bystanders after thigh surgery.

Bruce suddenly becomes one man in the engine compartment, and after the summer 2024/2025 tournament and many games, there is a chance of more injuries as Chelsea attempts to navigate the start of this season.

His “highest quality” is attracting attention even by senior stars like Nicholas Jackson, so Walsh should be given the opportunity to shine.

“He’s a very good player and of the highest quality,” Jackson said of Walsh shortly after his debut.

“It’s true that he’s going far. I’m so happy he’s making his debut. I hope he’ll come more for him. And I’m very happy with him.”

Maresca also publicly praised Wonder Kid and calls him the perfect player for the Chelsea system.

“I love Reggie because he’s in my system, the way I want to play, and it’s perfect,” Maresca said in May.
