After taking the reins over the summer, new boss Thomas Frank will want to bring additional success to Tottenham Hotspur after last season’s Europa League victory.
Dane has major Premier League experience and served four years at Brentford after promoting the bee in the 2020/21 campaign.
However, his appointment is undoubtedly the next step in his career, but his tactical knowledge allowed him to see him become a huge hit with loyal Lily White in the coming years.
The 51-year-old has already had an immediate impact on the role, winning two of his three outings on the UK top flight.
Despite an impressive start to life at the club, Frank definitely hopes that he has one former player to resort to hunting the North London trophy.
Gareth Bale’s era at Tottenham Hotspur
After arriving from Southampton as a 17-year-old, Garethbert originally moved to the Spurs as left-back, but that quickly changed in his time in North London.
His trajectory changed dramatically after moving into a more offensive role, helping his hat-trick in 2010 with the Champions League in San Siro to indeed assert a positive position.
In the next campaign, Wales International registered 26, combining 26 goals and support.
The former Saints youth settled into right-wing positions and helped him achieve the best season of his career as a goal contribution in 2012/13.
Bale scored 26 times that year, and then became known for his trademark being cut off from the right side before finding a top corner.
Real Madrid won the race for his signature that summer and moved to the Lariga side with a reported fee of £85 million – the world record fee at the time overtaking money that diverged for Cristiano Ronaldo a few years ago.
Spurs star could become a veil for Frank himself
Bale was a player who endured extensive success with Spurs, but his time at the club was not all voyages.
It has been previously reported that Nottingham Forest has placed a £2 million bid on Welsman, and the hierarchy has accepted an offer to allow him to leave in North London in a few years.
While the deal was approaching at one stage, the player himself ultimately changed his mind and decided to stay and fight for his place with the first team rather than starting anew.
The decision proved to be a blessing of disguise for the club and the players themselves. No one expected such a rise at the time of his proposed movement to the ground in the city.
This situation has recurred over the past few years, with fullback DJED Spence being a player who is almost certain to leave Lily White at some point.

The 25-year-old joined the club in the summer of 2022 and arrived at the £20 million deal from Middlesbrough.
He made six appearances on the first team before three failed loan spells at Rennes, Leeds United and Genoa.
However, last season’s huge injury crisis relied on the right to what he took with both hands – 2024/25 for the opportunity to make 35 appearances in all competitions.
Labeled as “sensational” by one analyst, Spence has won the Maiden England appeal during her recent international break during Frank’s tenure so far.
Given his lack of action in previous seasons, there were no supporters to predict such a rise, but it’s safe to say that the British now look like a bargain and a player who plays a major role in Dane’s success during his tenure.
If he continues his current trajectory, there is no reason why the defender won’t be part of the 2026 World Cup team. Needless to say, there’s more excitement in North London.
His situation is very similar to that of Bale, and Lily White once again has another enormous talent, so we could see another big payday in the coming years.
