It was Monday’s Barondoor Ceremony, a mixed night for the Chelsea men’s team.
On one hand, the last 30 players only had one club representative, while on the other hand, Cole Palmer came in eighth place.
Bruce never actually won a player award in the book, but like Frank Lampard and Gorguinho, they came very close.
But the current team has players who managed to become the first Chelsea player while trading at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea at the Ballon d’Or since 2021
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and football closures, there was no Barondoor ceremony in 2020.
So the first ceremony in the 2020s took place in 2021 and was fantastic for Chelsea.
With them being champions in the Champions League at that point, the Bruce had five players in the book, making it the final 30, with Yorginho third.

Things have improved somewhat as Palmer ranked 27th last year and 8th this year. But in both cases he was the only representative of the men’s team.
That said, there are certain young people in the current team who have a pure chance to win a Chelsea award. We are not talking about British people or recently signed Garnacho.
Chelsea’s future Ballon d’Or winner
So the first thing to say is, I don’t think Garincho is good enough to win the Baron de Or, but I have never shown us anything else to suggest Palmer Mite.

In other words, he maintained average goal involvement every 1.97 games or every 133.57 minutes.
Such profit margins are very impressive for veteran attackers, but they come from teenagers and it comes from this world.
It would go a long way when respected analyst Ben Matinson lends credit to the claim that the Franca-born gem is the “future Baron de or winner.”
