Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim is under a lot of pressure and there have been rumours that he could be fired.
Manchester United are currently in the lower half of the league table with just two wins from six games in the Premier League. They were beaten by Brentford today. Their performance was disappointing, and Amorim couldn’t make the most of his signature either.
The Portuguese manager has shown he is reluctant to change his methods, and it is not surprising that the club’s hierarchy decides to show him the door. Manchester United need to change, and it would be ideal to bring in a quality manager.
Graham Potter was terrible for West Ham
Manchester United is currently linked to Graham Potter. According to Fichajes, the recently fired West Ham United Manager is on the radar. The 48-year-old had West Ham and a miserable spell. There he won just six wins from 25 games. Appointing him as Manchester United’s new manager would be a mysterious decision. It’s unlikely to work with fans.
Man United needs someone better than Potter
Manchester United need someone who is a proven winner and consistently shows quality at the highest level. It will be interesting to see who will ultimately appoint them. Manchester United have not been able to challenge major trophies since Sir Alex Ferguson left. They desperately need mercury managers who can change their property.
Potter had previously shown his quality in the Premier League, but he certainly isn’t the right person for the job. The 48-year-old is under tremendous pressure and the burden of managing one of the world’s biggest clubs only makes things worse for him.
Man United said the 55-year-old is “the perfect man for work” with Amorim on thin ice.
