BEIJING – Wimbledon champion Iga Swaitek defeated Camilla Osorio in his 400th career victory on Monday to advance to the fourth round at the China Open.

Swiatek became the first player to register more than 25 wins in the WTA-1000 event in three consecutive seasons in Ewan Yue’s straight set in the third round, showing no signs of slowing down as Osorio dismantled Colombian opponents 6-0 in the first set before Osorio retired from the match in the second set.

Osorio took a medical timeout. She was then forced to withdraw after offering a double obstacle to fall behind 0-40 in the opening game of the second set.

“It’s true, because Camila always gives 100%,” Swiatek said. “She said she got hurt at the start of the match, and it’s always pretty sad to see that because we want to compete.

Top seed Swiatek, who won the Korean Open last week in Seoul, also won the French Open four times, with US winning one of six Grand Slam single titles.

In her previous third match on Monday, fourth seeded Mira Andreva defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4, 6-1, while Marta Koschuk defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovic 6-4, 6-2. Navarro had a 6-2, 1-0 lead over Lois Boisson when the French player retired from the game.

Information from the Associated Press contributed to this report.
