“He’s Unhappy” – Journalists claim that Senior Man United star is unhappy for Amorim

  • Reuben Amorim changed the role of Bruno Fernandez
  • Man United need a new central midfielder

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandez reportedly has no personal dissatisfaction with Reuben Amorim, but he is not satisfied with the deeper mid-length role he was asked to play.

Journalist Ben Jacobs says Fernandez has a “positive relationship” with his manager, but is unhappy with the positional change. This is a situation where Amorim and United recruitment teams can be forced to get the most out of their captain.

The United Captain struggled with performances this season, and that’s not a surprise as the manager changed his position and played him in a deeper role the Portuguese midfielder was unsatisfied.

Reuben Amorim changed the role of Bruno Fernandez

It is a new role for Fernandez, who played primarily in offensive roles that allowed him to contribute more in terms of goals and support. However, this season is not the case.

Speaking in the United Stands, Jacobs argued that Fernandez was unhappy with the position he was playing, despite having no issues with his manager.

“You have Bruno Fernandez. I don’t bring any misfortune to his manager. If there is, they have a positive relationship. He is the captain of a soccer club.

“So, with the 4-1-4-1 formation, he’s one of Bruno Fernandez and Mbemo or Cunha, where he can play Cobbie Mineu or Manuel Ugarte in deeper roles.

“And the other, if it’s mbeumo, that might be broadly correct. Or maybe Benjamin Sesco will not start all the games and Cunha could play as No. 9.

“But in this current formation, Bruno Fernandez is deeper and clearly less effective than the content of that role, to bring goal power and actually gain new signatures.”

Fernandez’s best performance comes from a more free and offensive transfer that allows you to pull the string, arrive late in the box and create an overload in the final third.

Asked to sit deeper, he needs to shield the backline, track the runners, and prioritize structure over instinctive forward play.

Fernandez’s misfortune is not yet in crisis. It is a tactical tension demanding a solution.

The logical solution would be to sign a new midfielder who can sit in a middle midfield position, which would allow Fernandez to have the freedom to attack and move forward.
