Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young players in the Premier League and top teams are keen to sign him. The Eagles are currently considering potential replacements, with Rangers star Nicholas Raskin listed as a potential option, according to Fichajes.
Ruskin was linked with a move to Leeds United during the summer transfer window. He has previously been linked with Aston Villa.
Will Nicholas Raskin replace Wharton?
The 24-year-old Belgian has performed very well for the Scottish club and could be a useful signing. But Wharton is a tremendous talent, and replacing him with Raskin might be a downgrade. There is no doubt that the Belgian is a quality player, but he is yet to prove himself at the highest level.
A move from Scotland to the Premier League is a big step up and it will be interesting to see if he can adapt to English football and make an immediate impact. Ruskin is said to be “tireless” because of his playing style.
Wharton is an elite talent.
Wharton is 21 years old and already one of the best midfielders in the league. He will only improve with coaching and experience. Crystal Palace will need a phenomenal young talent to replace him. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Multiple teams are monitoring his situation and it is likely that he will receive multiple offers at the end of the season. Crystal Palace have shown they won’t let their best players leave easily. They will command a premium for him and it will be interesting to see which clubs are prepared to break the bank for the England international.
Meanwhile, Raskin will no doubt be attracted to the idea of playing in the Premier League, and Crystal Palace could be an attractive move for him.
