It’s no secret that Crystal Palace need to sign a new centre-back in 2026, with Marc Gehi almost certain to leave when his contract expires. They have a list of players listed as potential candidates, and one of the players near the top is Inter Milan star Jan Bisek.
Crystal Palace had been considering a move for Visek during the summer, but with Inter Milan not being an enthusiastic seller, it was decided that Guehi would stay and there was no need for him to join the club. However, the 24-year-old’s circumstances have now changed and he could well end up at Selhurst Park.
Good news for Crystal Palace in pursuit of Jan Bisek
According to The Sun (via We Are Palace), Bisek has made it clear he wants to leave Inter Milan when the transfer window reopens in January. He has struggled for minutes this season, appearing in only two competitive games (against Udinese and Slavia Prague), and is now desperate to find a new club.
Visek is open to joining Crystal Palace, whose offer of £30m was rejected in the summer. Interestingly, it has been noted that Inter Milan are set to accept a bid in the region of £22m, which would make a January move very attractive for last season’s FA Cup winners.
Visek is very used to operating in a back three formation, having done so many times last season when Simone Inzaghi was Inter Milan’s manager. That would make him an excellent addition to Oliver Glasner’s squad, and with Gehi likely to leave in January, it would be easy to explore a move if there is enough money to get him over the line.
