Fabio Paratici has returned to Tottenham in a permanent capacity as the club’s joint sporting director.
His return to the club is expected to have an impact on the club’s transfer strategy ahead of the transfer window.
The former Juventus player has a reputation for being an expert on the Italian market and made some shrewd signings with Tottenham in his previous spell.
Among the players Fabio Paratici has signed with the club are Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Pedro Polo and Rodrigo Bentancur.
He also played a key role in the signing of Destiny Udogi and Papu Matar Sarr, two emerging young players who have played important roles for the team in recent years.
Although his return to the club will be in a joint capacity with Johan Lange, his influence at the club remains strong.
Fabio Paratici spearheads Tottenham’s bid to sign Antoine Semenho
Paratici’s focus could once again be on the Italian market, but TEAMtalk reports that the club’s stance on signing Antoine Semenho will not have an impact.
Indeed, reports suggest Fabio Paratici is expected to lead the charge for Bournemouth’s star player.
Spurs have a strong interest in the player, but will face stiff competition from Liverpool and Manchester United, who are reportedly in a stronger position.
Liverpool are the frontrunners to sign him, with the club reportedly in direct contact with the Cherries through Richard Hughes’ strong connections.
Bournemouth are said to be willing to let Semenyo go for a reasonable fee, with reports suggesting his transfer fee will rise to nearly £100m in the January transfer window and £70m next summer.
Manchester United are also among the clubs interested in the player, with their interest dating back to the summer. Ruben Amorim reportedly even took Semenyo out to lunch in an attempt to persuade him to join the club.
Other clubs keeping an eye on the Ghanaian international are Aston Villa and Manchester City.
With competition fierce, Paratici will need to work his magic to convince the player to join the north London club.
The incredible rise of Antoine Semenyo
Semenyo has had a consistent performance with the Cherries, improving with each season.
The 25-year-old had a fantastic season for Bournemouth last season, scoring 13 goals and providing a further seven assists.
This season, he has been in incredible form and has helped the club get off to a great start.
He has already scored six goals and provided three assists in nine games in all competitions, taking his total for the club to 28 goals and 13 assists.
Position played | Appearance | the goal | assist |
---|---|---|---|
center forward | 73 | 12 | 13 |
right wing | 54 | 13 | 6 |
left winger | 53 | 10 | 8 |
The London-born attacker’s greatest feature is his ability to play in a front three and be equally effective.
