Liverpool remain interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehy.
The 25-year-old came close to joining Liverpool in the summer transfer window, but the move ultimately fell through.
The defender will become a free agent at the end of the season and has been linked with multiple clubs. It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace are willing to sell him for a reasonable fee in January. Or they could lose him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Liverpool need Marc Gehi
If a deal goes through, Guehi would be a quality signing for Liverpool. He will have to replace Ibrahima Konate in the summer, with the France international’s contract expiring. He has not signed a contract extension with the Premier League champions so they need to find a quality replacement.
The 25-year-old Crystal Palace star has proven himself in the Premier League and has the quality to play for one of the country’s biggest clubs. He could be the ideal replacement for the France international.
Guehi is in demand
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also interested in signing him. They have held talks with his agent, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to convince the player to move to Germany. Real Madrid are also monitoring his situation closely. Florian Plettenberg insists Liverpool are also ‘in the race’.
The England player is said to be an “exceptional” player, and there is no doubt that he is a player in demand right now. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. All three clubs could be attractive destinations for him and could provide him with the opportunity to compete for big trophies on a regular basis.
