Liverpool manager Arne Slott criticized for ’embarrassing’ comments – ‘That’s his job’

Arne Slott is under pressure at Liverpool, who have lost their last four Premier League games and have dropped from first to seventh in the table. The reigning champions lost to Crystal Palace, who won 3-2 at the weekend, Chelsea, Man United and Brentford.

In the aftermath of the loss at G-Tech Community Stadium, Slott admitted his team struggled against “teams with a certain style of play.” It’s more directly about the team. However, these comments are not well received by some people.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown responded to Slott’s comments, which he didn’t like.

“Of course Slott is under pressure at Liverpool and will be frustrated. The results weren’t good enough and to lose four games in a row in the Premier League is a disaster, so there will be doubts about him. But you can’t start looking down the nose at other teams and aspects of the game.”

“It’s embarrassing to come out after a game and complain about the other team’s long throws and long balls. It’s his job to prepare for and deal with those things. Not every team plays the same way. That’s the way the game is played.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play against Brentford, who have made a name for themselves by exploiting set-pieces and making the most of their team’s assets. It’s up to Liverpool to deal with that, but against Brentford they didn’t have an answer. Same thing after the game against Man United. Same thing when he moaned about other teams making changes to their starting XI. It’s embarrassing to be honest and makes him look bad.”

Liverpool and Slott will be desperate to bounce back as quickly as possible. They face Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in midweek before facing Aston Villa in the Premier League, which will be a very tricky game given the contrasting form of both teams.
