While Leeds are focused on their efforts to avoid immediate relegation from the Premier League, there are other areas of interest as well, including the players currently on loan.
A number of Leeds players swapped Elland Road for La Liga over the summer. Junior Firpo signed with Real Betis after his contract expired, while Mateo Josef moved to Mallorca on a season-long loan, as did Valencia’s Larzi Ramazani.
Ramazani, who joined Leeds from another Spanish team in Almeria in 2024, has struggled to make an impression at Valencia since joining, adding to that with a recent injury. And there is now the possibility of a return to Elland Road in January.
Leeds can bring back Raji Ramazani from Valencia on loan
According to The Athletic (via Leeds All Over), Leeds have a recall clause in his loan deal with Valencia, which could be triggered when the transfer window reopens in January.
Leeds could make a decision to sign Ramazani in the coming weeks, once he returns from injury. At that point, we will know whether he is expected to be an important player for Valencia for the rest of the season. If not, it would make a lot of sense for him to be recalled, either to remain in manager Daniel Farke’s team or to be sent to another club.
Importantly, Ramazani could join another club in January, as he had never played for Leeds before being loaned to Valencia. He was on the bench in the Premier League opener against Everton but was not brought on by manager Farke.
