Throughout the 2024-25 season, the Oklahoma City Thunder proved they were one of the top teams in the NBA. Their 68-14 record was the best in the league. Oklahoma City finished with the first-place seed in the West Playoffs.

OKC made its first final since 2012, beating the Timberwolves in five games for WCF. Game 1 will be EST on Thursdays at 8:30pm. Prior to that matchup, the Thunder has made playoff history. They are the second youngest team in NBA history. The youngest was the Portland Trail Blazers from 1976 to 1977.

Can the Thunder close out a historic season with the Larry O’Brien Trophy?

The average age is 25.6, and the Oklahoma City Thunder was the youngest team in the NBA from 2024-25. The oldest player on their roster is 31-year-old Alex Caruso. Despite being quite inexperienced in the playoffs, OKC has not stopped dominating their opponents. On Thursday, Thunder will host Game 1 pacers for the 2025 NBA Finals.

The Thunder is the second youngest team in the last 70 years to play the NBA Finals. Only the 1976-77 trail blazers were younger. The average age in Portland was 25.03 years old. Only one Harm Gilliman had over five years of NBA experience. The Trail Blazers beat the 76ers in six games, winning their first and only NBA title. Portland was led by the late Great, Bill Walton.
