AC Milan are currently reportedly plotting to sign Niklas Fulkrug from West Ham United after the striker’s agent made a damning confession ahead of the winter transfer window.

The forward has struggled ever since joining the Premier League, but while he continues to ponder his future, things are looking up for West Ham. The Hammers beat relegation rivals Burnley 2-1 on Saturday to secure a consecutive league win. They won 3-1 against Newcastle United last weekend and are now level on points with the Clarets.

“It’s very difficult to win consecutive games in the Premier League, but we achieved it. It was really good. I think you can see the improvement in the players. This is something we have been focusing on individually, but we must not (get carried away),” Nuno said.

“There were moments, especially early in the game, where I thought we didn’t start well. We gave Burnley the ball, so it’s difficult to adjust. We can see that again.”

“It’s positive to react the way we did to a goal, take immediate attacking action, create chances and score, but that’s something we have to think about as a team. We can’t always react so we have to try to change that situation.”

The international break comes at a bad time for the Hammers, with Nuno Espirito Santo slowly turning things around as he settles into life in London. After the break, his team travel to Bournemouth looking for a third successive win that could lift them out of the relegation zone.

This is also a game where Callum Wilson could be looking to score two goals in two games against his former club. Getting fit and firing on all cylinders for the arrival of the summer will be the key to West Ham’s survival and potentially to determining Furkrug’s future.

AC Milan join Full Krug race after joining agent

According to Tuttomercatoweb, AC Milan are in the race to sign Flukruk, who has missed the last four Premier League games due to injury and has only scored three goals during his time at West Ham.

There was a question mark over the forward’s age when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund, but those questions have been answered after an impressive season he just had in Germany, helping the team reach the 2024 Champions League final.

But it didn’t take long for hopes that Furkrug could replicate that form in the Premier League to dissipate, and now it looks like he is destined to leave.

Flukrug’s agent Thorsten Wirs made a harsh admission about the forward’s time at West Ham on the Tomorrow Business podcast, saying: “Looking back, I have to say that the transfer didn’t work out. There’s no point in cleaning the surface.”

Meanwhile, when asked about Furkrug’s future, he said: “This always has to happen in collaboration with the club, but I believe it makes sense to change something there.”

Manager Peter Crouch went so far as to call the forward “fantastic” at Euro 2024, but it’s safe to say that Flukrug’s time at West Ham simply didn’t work out and he should move on to 2026.
