  • Juventus are tracking Maro Gusto
    • Chelsea are moving towards re-signing Antonio Rudiger. he made the decision for Real Madrid

Juventus are currently reportedly keeping a close eye on Chelsea right-back Maro Gusto as they look to resolve their defensive issues under new manager Luciano Spalletti.

People at Stamford Bridge have reason to be optimistic ahead of the November international holiday. They bounced back from a 2-2 draw against Qarabag on Saturday to beat the coachless Wolverhampton Wanderers by three points. The Blues were at their best, with Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto and unlikely scorer Gusto all on the scoresheet.

The emphatic win sets the stage for a perfect return when they visit Burnley after the international break. This is a must-win game for Chelsea to start a very important week that will continue with games against Barcelona and Arsenal. Victory in these two games would suddenly raise interesting questions about the Blues’ ambitions.

Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit third in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Arsenal. A win against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge is essential if the Club World Cup winners are to become serious title challengers.

Pay attention to the January transfer market. The west Londoners are hardly shy about splashing out the cash and have already been linked with moves for the likes of Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz.

The right-back is one of the best players in the world in his position and will immediately give Reece James a lot to think about, leaving Gust with the big problems. The Chelsea man has already lost his place to James this season and there are now rumors about his own future.

Juventus are tracking Maro Gusto

Serie A giants Juventus are currently tracking Maro Gusto, according to an Italian report relayed by TuttoJuve. The Italian club are looking to solve their right-back problem and have named both the Chelsea star and Atletico Madrid’s Nahuel Molina as targets for 2026.

Gusto has only started six of Chelsea’s 11 Premier League games this season, but after scoring his first goal for the club against Wolves, Maresca reiterated that he is one of his “key players”.

“Finally! We like to attack with our full-backs, and sometimes it’s (Marc) Cucurella. Last season, Cucurella scored six or seven goals. I hope Maro will score more this season. Maro is one of our main players, because he gives us versatility.”

Due to the versatility praised by Maresca, Gusto has played at both right-back, left-back and right midfield throughout his career, and while that added depth is valuable for a player on £45,000-a-week, he has not been able to make those positions his own at Stamford Bridge.

As James continues to keep the Frenchman out of the side, it will be interesting to see if he makes a decision about a career at Chelsea if Juventus come calling. A move to the Italian giants would not be a major downgrade for Gusto, even in the midst of his current struggles.
