It has been reported that the possibility of a new signing for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window cannot be ruled out.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham are among those interested in signing the Ghanaian, who has excelled in the Premier League.

The newspaper reports that Manchester United were also interested in Semenyo in the summer before he ultimately signed a new contract with Bournemouth.

Our information is that Manchester United still have a strong interest in Semenyo, so he could be a player to watch in January, but the 25-year-old clearly has plenty of options.

Why would a top club like Liverpool want Antoine Semenyo?

Just watching Semenyo play, it’s clear that he looks like he has all the ingredients to step up to play at a top club.

The versatile attacker has scored six goals and provided three assists in the Premier League so far this season, ranking him second only to Man City’s Erling Haaland in terms of goal contributions.

Able to both score and create, take on defenders and shoot with both feet, Semenyo is ideal for Liverpool, especially at a time when they are struggling offensively.

LFC have spent a lot of money on two major failures in the summer, with Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz yet to make any impact, while Mohamed Salah’s form has also been sluggish.

Semenyo may just be the upgrade the Reds need to get back to their best.

Will Bournemouth sign Semenyo like they have other star players?

The Cherries have a recent track record of cashing in on star names when big offers come their way.

Andoni Iraola performed well to keep the club competitive despite losing the likes of Dean Huyssen and Milos Kerkes over the summer.

This would certainly give the likes of Liverpool, City and Spurs hope of poaching Semenyo in the near future.

Sky reports that Tottenham are specifically looking for an attacker who can play on the left, and Semenyo appears to fit the bill.
