  • Will Ivan Toney return to the Premier League?
  • Leeds United are unlikely to sign Tony

Al Ahly striker Ivan Toney is not interested in a move to Leeds United, according to TEAMtalk.

The English striker is aiming to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for next year’s World Cup and will need to return to the Premier League to do so.

The former Brentford star is now widely believed to be aiming for a return to the Premier League and has attracted the attention of English clubs looking for a new attacker.

Tottenham are on the hunt for a new striker under manager Thomas Frank and have been linked with a move for the former Premier League star.

David Moyes’ Everton side have also been paired with Toney in the media, increasing speculation about his future in the Middle East.

Will Ivan Toney return to the Premier League?

The striker has reportedly been told he needs to play in the Premier League to return to England’s system.

Toney reportedly earns around 400,000 yen a week at Al Ahly in Saudi Arabia, but would have to let him go if he wants to move to the Premier League.

The bad news for Leeds United is that Toney has no interest in a move to Elland Road.

Toney wants to play competitive football in order to stake his claim to be part of the England squad, but unfortunately for Leeds a move to Los Blancos is not in the cards.

Although some of the world’s top players have moved to Saudi Arabia in recent seasons, the level of soccer in Saudi Arabia is not as competitive as the Premier League.

If Tony really decides he wants to return to England, top clubs will be interested in signing him and it will be difficult for Leeds United to stand a chance of winning the race to sign him.
