Scotland defeated Denmark 4-2 in today’s World Cup qualifiers, qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
After 82 minutes of football, the teams were level, but Scotland scored twice in the closing minutes to secure an important victory. Scott McTominay opened the scoring for his country, but his club teammate Rasmus Hojlund equalized in the second half.
Lawrence Shankland gave Scotland the advantage in the 78th minute, but it was canceled out four minutes later by Patrick Dawg.
Kieran Tierney’s goal in the 93rd minute put Scotland ahead, before Kenny McLean rounded off the scoring with a fine long-range goal from his own half in the 99th minute.
Scotland will be happy with their performance here and McLean’s incredible strike capped off a great game for them.
