Georgiev only played two games this season with the Sabres’ AHL team, the Rochester Americans, where he had an 0-2-0 record and a save percentage between .874 and .896. Prior to that, he posted a 15-26-4 record with a .875 save percentage and a 3.71 goals-against average over 49 games combined for the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks this season.
