  • Liverpool approached by Serie A club to sign Chiesa
  • The winger is struggling for minutes at Anfield.

Federico Chiesa’s time at Liverpool could come to an early end as he continues to struggle for playing time under Arne Slott.

Despite arriving on Merseyside last year with high expectations, the 28-year-old is yet to start a single Premier League game this season.

His continued frustration and Liverpool’s inconsistent form have fueled speculation that Chiesa could return to Serie A in January, with Inter Milan, AC Milan and Roma reportedly showing strong interest.

Liverpool approached by Serie A club to sign Chiesa

According to TuttoJuve, several Italian clubs have already contacted both Chiesa’s representatives and the Liverpool bosses to explore the possibility of a winter transfer.

Inter and AC Milan are currently leading the charge, with Chiesa seen as the ideal addition to strengthen their attacking options for the second half of the season.

Italian clubs have been impressed by the Italian winger’s versatility, as he can play on the wing or as a second striker.

AS Roma are also in the race, with the Italian side keen to add some creativity and speed to their front line.

Chiesa’s current situation at Liverpool is puzzling to many. The Italian international was signed in a high-profile bid from Juventus and was expected to add dynamism to Liverpool’s attack.

But under manager Arne Slott, he found himself on the periphery, despite players like Darwin Nunez leaving in the summer. Harvey Elliott and Diaz.

The Italian winger has appeared in nine Premier League games for Arne Slott’s side this season, all of them coming off the bench.

The 28-year-old has played a total of 139 minutes and scored two goals in the Premier League this season, which is a great return for a player who has had so little playing time.

Sources close to the player say Chiesa remains professional and focused, but unless his playing time improves dramatically by January, a return to Italy seems more likely.

With his market value depressed, Liverpool could potentially recoup much of their investment, while Chiesa himself may finally get the consistent playing time he needs to reignite his career.

The next few weeks could be decisive for both Chiesa’s future and Liverpool’s season.
