Liverpool manager Arne Slott held an emergency meeting with club leaders and was reportedly given a final warning regarding his duties.
According to the information in the X article below, it appears the Reds want an immediate improvement for Slot, who will be required to pick up six points in the club’s next two Premier League games…
As reported earlier today, there were already some obvious issues between Slott and Liverpool manager Richard Hughes after the former overruled the latter over the sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich this summer.
It now appears that Slott has either received an urgent message to turn things around quickly, or that the club is ready to make changes.
Is it right for Liverpool to sack Arne Slott?
A few months ago, it would have been unthinkable that Liverpool would be in this position, with Slott doing an incredible job winning the Premier League title in his first season.
The Dutch tactician has secured the signing of some very promising players in the summer, with the additions of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremy Frimpong.
However, things are not going well for these new additions and Liverpool are probably right to still question whether Slott is the right fit to take this team forward.
Liverpool are currently on a dismal run with nine defeats in their last 12 games, so it will be interesting to see if Slott can survive.
Liverpool’s next league games are away to West Ham and at home to Sunderland, so the next two games are clearly going to be important.
