World No. 2 golfer Nelly Korda announces engagement after season ends

Nellie Korda said yes.

The second-ranked golfer from Bradenton, Florida, who completed his ninth season on the LPGA Tour last week, announced his engagement in an Instagram post on Friday.

“In this life…and in the next life.”

” Nelly wrote, including a photo from Casey Gunderson’s engagement shoot and a photo of her fiancé.

The couple posed with newspapers that read “We’re getting married!”

Jessica reshared Nelly’s post and added, “She said YAAAAAASSSS. I couldn’t be happier for these two.”

Lakers superstar LeBron James, two-time WNBA All-Star Kaitlyn Clark and golf legend Michelle Wie West also sent in their congratulations.

Nellie and Clark were paired at the Pro-Am at Anika on November 12th.

Their engagement photos were taken in Florida, according to wedding photographer Casey Powell.

According to LinkedIn, Gunderson is vice president of Florida Engineering LLC.

Gunderson attended Bryant University from 2014 to 2018, playing wide receiver for the Bulldogs. According to the team’s website, the player did not appear in the game.

Before that, Gunderson was a three-year starter at IMG Academy.

The engagement announcement comes after Nelly finished solo in third place at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida last week.

Nelly and Nike’s first signature shoe, the Nike Free Golf “Nelly Corda,” was released on November 20th.

Her brother, tennis player Sebastian Korda, and his long-time girlfriend Ivana Nedved announced their engagement earlier this month.

The 15-time LPGA winner is featured in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
