  • Liverpool could move to sign Micky van de Ven
  • Van de Ven may also want to participate.

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.

His contract ends in the summer, but he has not agreed an extension with the Premier League champions. Real Madrid have been mentioned as a potential transfer destination for the 26-year-old France international. Meanwhile, Liverpool are already considering potential replacements should the defender decide to leave.

Liverpool could move to sign Micky van de Ven

According to a report from team talkThe club will consider a move for Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven.

The Dutch international has been in an exceptional form since moving to the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see whether Liverpool make an offer to sign him.

Liverpool have a strong Dutch squad and they could play a key role in convincing the player. But convincing Tattenham will not be easy.

Cristian Romero is expected to leave in the summer, and they won’t want to lose both of their starting defenders in one period.

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. There is no doubt that the Dutchman is a quality player and will be able to help Liverpool improve.

Van de Ven will aim to compete at the highest level and fight for big trophies. A move to Liverpool could help him achieve that. He will play alongside compatriot Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool recently completed the signing of Jeremy Jacquet but need more depth in their defense. Joe Gomez could also leave the club along with Konate.

If Van Dijk, Jaquet, Leoni and Van de Ven can do that, they could become an exceptional defensive unit for Liverpool. However, transfer is likely to be difficult and expensive.
