LPGA star Nelly Korda announces engagement on Instagram

Shortly after posting the statement on social media, Korda’s comments were flooded with congratulatory messages from some of the biggest names in golf and sports, including Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, Justin Rose, Caitlin Clark and LeBron James.

Korda’s sister, six-time LPGA Tour winner Jessica Korda, agreed, playfully saying, “Unfortunately, she’s off the market.”

This engagement is an important way to conclude Korda’s 2025 season. Although she didn’t win this year, she put together one of the most consistent campaigns on the LPGA Tour, finishing the season without missing a cut. She recorded nine top-10 finishes, including seven top-five finishes, highlighted by a strong third-place finish at the CME Group Tour Championship.

Korda noted that although he did not win in 2025, the winless campaign reminded him of the importance of having close people around you to lean on when things don’t go your way.

“I think when you’re at the top of your game and you have a close-knit circle, you get more criticism, but you’re so grateful for the people around you,” Korda said. “The circle gets a little smaller, but I think I have a great circle. I think I’m very, very lucky for the people that I surround myself with. At the end of the day, in the life that we live and perform in public, it’s very important to have stability in life.”
