The European club have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ to sign the Newcastle United attacker in the January transfer window.

Newcastle receive major reinforcement from Yoan Ouisza

Things are starting to look up for Newcastle. On the pitch, they easily defeated Everton in the Premier League, achieving consecutive domestic wins and finally winning away from home.

Meanwhile, Yoan Wissa has decided not to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations with Dr. Congo in order to take a break from the game and focus all his efforts on making his long-awaited debut for the Magpies.

Providing an update on the striker’s fitness at his latest press conference, Eddie Howe told reporters: “He took part in an 11v11 training game when we were at Everton. He’s playing again this week and we’ll see how he’s doing.”

The Newcastle manager also previewed his side’s next game against Tottenham Hotspur as they aim for a third successive Premier League win, saying: “It is very important that we find the consistency that we are looking for.

“We seem to be moving between the Champions League and the Premier League and haven’t quite found the sweet spot we’ve been looking for all season. I hope this is a turning point for us.”

Three points could see the Tyneside side move into seventh place in the Premier League, one place below Sunderland, if other results go well. But that improvement may not be enough to keep William Osla. Osla is reportedly set to leave Newcastle by the time the January transfer window opens.

Osla reach ‘verbal agreement’ with Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a “verbal agreement” with Osula for January, according to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg. The young striker is reportedly keen to join the Bundesliga club, but has yet to reach an agreement with Newcastle despite ongoing contacts.

With record signing Nick Woltemade developing and Wissa finally making his return from injury, a winter move would make perfect sense for Osla. However, whether Newcastle are keen to let him go at the end of the season for around 20 million euros (approximately 1.8 billion yen) is another question.

Eddie Howe and Newcastle United are on the verge of a superstar.

The 22-year-old forward still has plenty of potential and was praised by Howe in April, calling the young star “fantastic”. A loan move would benefit him, but Osla’s long-term future could still lie at St James’ Park.
