FOX Sports has announced that the esteemed host Rebecca Rowe will be part of the broadcast team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This news was shared by Brad Zager, president of production and operations and executive producer for FOX Sports.
“We’re excited to have Rebecca join our team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” stated Zager. “She is an exceptional presenter and one of the most respected figures in the global soccer community. We look forward to her guiding the discussions with a lineup of distinguished broadcasters. Our thanks also go to NBC for allowing Rebecca the opportunity to cover this tournament with us.”
Rowe comes to FOX Sports with extensive experience, having hosted NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage, as well as participating in six Olympic Games and the Kentucky Derby since she joined NBC in 2013. Her career started in 2002 at the BBC in the UK, where she contributed to soccer programming and reported on major events, including the 2006 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Women’s Euro 2005. She also co-hosted ESPN UK’s Premier League presentations and covered the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011 and UEFA EURO 2012 in the U.S.
“It truly feels like a dream to host the world’s biggest event, the FIFA World Cup, in my adopted home country, and to promote this beautiful game across the U.S.,” said Rowe. “We are incredibly thankful to both NBC and FOX, and we can’t wait for the tournament to kick off next summer.”
As the tournament nears, FOX Sports will reveal the complete broadcast team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This event will mark FOX’s largest World Cup production to date, featuring all 104 matches live on both FOX and FS1, and streaming available on FOX One and the FOX Sports app. The network’s coverage will include 69 games, setting a record for television broadcasts, more than doubling the number of games shown in 2022.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be unique as it is the first to be hosted by three nations: the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
