Leeds United are looking to strengthen their attack line with the signing of AC Milan striker Santiago Jimenez, according to Fichajes.

The 24-year-old Mexican has yet to secure a starting place at the Italian club and will need to move to get his career back on track.

He has previously shown his quality in the Netherlands and was a prolific goalscorer during his time at Feyenoord. He will be desperate to get back to that level and a move to the Premier League could be ideal for him.

Meanwhile, Leeds United also need a reliable goalscorer. They are fighting to survive in the Premier League and a quality striker could make a big difference to them. Jimenez could find the back of their goal on a regular basis and could significantly improve them.

West Ham are also interested in signing Jimenez. Sunderland are also monitoring his situation closely.

Even at this stage of his career, a move to the Premier League would be ideal for him. He will aim to get his stuttering career back on track with regular appearances at English clubs. If he can help Leeds United stay in the Premier League, he could establish himself as a reliable performer in the top flight. That could help him secure a big move in the future.

It is clear that the player now needs a fresh start. It will be interesting to see if Leeds are able to secure his signature in the coming weeks.

He is under contract with AC Milan until 2029, but the Italian side would need to accept a reasonable contract for a move to take place. Leeds United will not be able to pay a premium for him. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
