The International Tennis Fairness Body has suspended French professional Quentin Folio for 20 years for match-fixing.

The ITIA announced Thursday that Foliot was found to have committed 27 violations of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program and would be fined $70,000 and forced to repay $44,000 in “corruption payments.”

For his role as a central figure in what the ITIA calls a tennis match-fixing syndicate, Folio was initially charged with 30 offenses spanning 11 matches from 2022 to 2024. The 26-year-old Frenchman’s highest ranking was in August 2022, when he ranked 488th. His official lifetime earnings are $60,047.

ITIA said in a statement:

“Falsifying the outcome of a match, accepting money for suboptimal efforts for betting purposes, offering money to other players to fix matches, providing inside information, conspiracy to commit corruption, failing to cooperate with ITIA investigations, destroying evidence.”

Folio had already been provisionally suspended from May 2024. Any period already suspended will be counted towards the 20-year suspension. Folio will become eligible again on May 16, 2044 at the age of 45.

This year, five other players besides Folio were suspended for TACP violations, but Folio’s punishment was the most severe. Natasis Kunsuwan, Jamie Floyd Angel, Christian Lindell, Samuel Bensussan and Lucas Boquet were all suspended for TACP violations. Khunsuwan’s punishment is the harshest other than Folio’s, with a 12-year suspension and a $75,000 fine.

A suspended player will be prohibited from competing in, coaching in, or participating in any ITIA-sanctioned tennis event. This includes ATP, WTA and the four major tournaments.
