  • Wolfsburg want to sign Jenson Seelt
  • Zelt will move aggressively

Sunderland defender Jenson Seelt is currently on loan at German club VFL Wolfsburg.

The 22-year-old joined the club last summer and has performed very well for the team. According to a report from Sky Germany, the defender has impressed the German club with his performances and the club are hoping to sign him on a permanent contract.

Wolfsburg want to sign Jenson Seelt

Wolfsburg do not have the option of signing the player permanently at the end of the season and have entered into negotiations with Sunderland to finalize a deal. It will be interesting to see if the Black Cats plan to allow him to leave.

The 22-year-old has no future in a Premier League side and it would make sense for Sunderland to sign him during the January transfer window so they can invest money in strengthening their squad.

Zelt also wants regular minutes and staying at the German club would be ideal for him. He is a promising young player and is already an important player for Wolfsburg. Regular football with them will help him develop further and fulfill his potential.

The player’s contract with Sunderland runs until 2028, and Sunderland will be keen to recoup a significant sum for the player. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to reach an agreement.

Sunderland have performed extremely well since being promoted to the Premier League and are pushing towards a top-half position this season. They need to strengthen their squad in January, and selling some unwanted players could provide the needed funds. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming weeks.
