Did Andrew Tate’s cheating come under scrutiny? UFC’s greatest fighter analyzes Chase DeMore’s defeat

Andrew Tate’s surprising defeat to Chase DeMore has become a major topic in the fighting community following an eventful weekend. On Friday night, Jake Paul suffered a knockout loss against Anthony Joshua, but just hours later in Dubai, reality TV star Chase DeMore grabbed attention by beating Tate in his debut for Misfits boxing.

After years of projecting an alpha male image and claiming to be one of the toughest fighters globally, Tate’s reputation took a significant blow beyond just the fight itself. MMA legend Demetrius Johnson analyzed the bout on social media and highlighted a crucial factor behind Tate’s loss.

Johnson pointed out that Chase DeMore’s size advantage was a decisive element in the fight. “Chase’s biggest weapon was his size difference. He was clearly more active and bigger, which allowed him to control Tate in the ring,” Johnson explained. He also noted that Tate showed skill but ultimately got worn down. Johnson advised that if Tate plans to continue boxing — which he doubts — he needs more dedicated training given the difficulty of switching from kickboxing to boxing after a long break.

The differences between the two sports are significant, with Johnson explaining how boxing techniques like jabs and crosses serve different purposes compared to kickboxing moves. “You have to adjust your entire approach; that’s why I never transitioned,” he added.

Fan Take: This unexpected upset shakes up the influencer boxing scene, showing that size and proper training still matter immensely. For fight fans, it raises questions about the future of crossover stars like Tate and how seriously their matches will be taken moving forward.
