Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has been linked with a return to Italy in recent months.

He has had a great run at Newcastle since joining the club from AC Milan. There is no doubt that he is one of the best midfielders in the league at the moment and it is no wonder that top teams are keen on him.

Juventus’ key man is Sandro Tonali

Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus want to sign the player and that he is their dream target. But they are well aware that it is a difficult trade to cross the line. They are currently preparing to include Jonathan David in a deal in a bid to persuade Newcastle. It will be interesting to see if the Premier League side are willing to let one of their best players leave the club.

They have invested in several strikers recently, but David may not be a very attractive option for them. Tonali is by far the most important player for them and keeping him at the club will be crucial to their hopes of winning big trophies. They aim to build a strong team for the future and need to keep their best players. Letting the Italian leave the club would make the wrong statement about their ambitions.

Meanwhile, the opportunity to return to his home country could be an exciting one for Italy’s international players. It will be interesting to see whether he decides to force his way out of Newcastle.

Newcastle need to do everything in their power to keep the midfielder at the club for as long as possible. He is one of the pillars of the dressing room and losing him will be a huge blow.

David, on the other hand, has been a huge failure for Juventus and it is no surprise that they are ready to send him another way to sign the Italian international midfielder.
